The ABC's of Make-Up Removal
Routines. We all have them. Some are more involved than others but most go something like this:
You get up; go about your day, and then rest your weary head for another good night's sleep. But before that last step, take a few minutes to complete the ABC's of a good makeup removal routine to ensure your skin stays healthy and radiant.
ALWAYS remove your make-up before going to bed each night. It cleans your skin and unclogs pores from makeup and air impurities. Plus, it stimulates your skin, allowing it to breathe so it can regenerate as you sleep.
Be BENEVOLENT! Take your time and be gentle. Small circular motions on your face will remove impurities and stimulates the skin for regrowth. Remember, your skin is like elastic - overtime, constant pulling and tugging can make it lose its elasticity prematurely.
Be CONSCIOUS of what you're putting on your skin. There are many make-up removal products on the market. Choose a natural product that is organic and scent-free or make a homemade product so there are no extras, which can cause irritation. It could be made from a number of household oils already in your pantry, such as olive, baby or mineral, jojoba, almond, or grape seed.
DAB, don't rub or pull the skin around your eyes. This area is 10 times thinner than the skin on the rest of your face. Once you've dabbed on the oil or makeup remover let it sit for 30 seconds to naturally loosen any stubborn or waterproof makeup.
EXFOLIATE dull, dry skin once a week with a gentle cleanser to reveal naturally radiant skin. This process will also help for easier make-up application and look more natural.
