I boxed dyed my hair! HELP!

First thing's first, don't panic! You're going to be okay! Once you've stopped crying (we've all been there), book in a consultation with one of our stylists to figure out your options and get a quote. Nothing is ever a guaranteed with box dye, as it's unpredictable and doesn't match with professional dye. But we promise to make it look better than that lovely orange or grey/blue colour you're rockin' ;)

What should I tell my stylist?

Communication, communication, communication! Sometimes what you're thinking isn't want your stylist is thinking. Visual aids are always helpful! If there is a certain colour or style you like, then bring a picture. The more angles of that cut, the better.

How much should I trim if I have dead ends?

Be specific on the length you want taken off. Dead ends can range from 1 inch to 5 inches of your hair length. It's always good to give a visual of the amount you want trimmed.

I want to cover my grey hair. What should I do?

The question is do you want an all over coverage? or do you want to blend? If you answered all over coverage, then you need to apply a root colour. That being said, adding highlights and low lights are always options. If you answered blending, then you'll need at least a 1/4-1/2 head of highlights.

What colours need a lot of maintenance?

Any colours that are furthest away from you natural colour are going to need a lot of up keep. Also, colours like red or purple will fade faster than natural browns or blondes. Those with grey hair should stay away from darker colours. You'll see the contrast drastically.

What type of extensions do you carry?

We carry the Loop 'n Lock system. It is 100% Remy human hair and it has not been coated with silicone, so the hair will stay healthier looking for longer.

What is the Loop ‘n Lock?

The attachment is made of aluminum and has a protective coating on the inside ensuring protection to the hair. No glue or adhesive of any sort. The loop pulls a small section (strand) of your hair through the aluminum bead and then the extension is clamped on to your own hair using an extension tool (plier). They are very quickly and easily installed and removed, making the service a pleasure for both the client and the stylist.

How long does it take to apply the extensions?

A full head (6-10 packs of hair) takes about an hour to an hour and a half for the first application.

What is the maintenance for Loop ‘n Lock extensions?

A) You can either take them all out and give your hair a cut, as we re-loop them. This process will take 2-3 hours.

B) Slide the bond back up the hair strand takes about 1-2 hours. Keep in mind the more residue on the hair, the longer it takes to slide back up.

Some pieces are falling out with my hair. Help!
