What should I tell the receptionist when booking?

Tell the receptionist what type of massage and length of massage you'd like. Tell us if your pregnant. The receptionist will be able to recommend pre-natal services for you. Our RMTs and estheticians will know to set up your room properly and avoid using certain products that may not be appropriate for expectant mommies. Tell us if you have allergies to certain scents, lotions or oils. Tell us if you like to request an esthetician or RMT. We are able to check your records and see who you were with last.

What is the difference between an RMT massage and an Relaxation massage?

RMT massages are completely different from a Relaxational massage. They feature deep tissue massages, sports massages or pre-natal massages and you will also receive an insurance receipt. Relaxation massages are preformed by estheticians and designed for relaxational purposes only. No receipts are given with this massage.

I've never had a massage at your spa before, what should I do to prepare?

Please arrive at least 5-10 minutes before your appointment, as we may need you to fill out our spa or RMT form. This also gives you time to visit the washroom, etc.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothing (sweat pants, running shoes, etc.).

Am I going to be naked?

You are more then welcome to keep on your underwear during your massage. For wraps or scrubs, you'll be covered with a sheet or towel in a private room.

Should I shave or shower before hand?

Bathing before your massage will warm you AND your muscles up, making you AND your muscles more relaxed! Shaving is optional, although it can be more relaxing for you if you do. We want you to relax and not have to worry about the RMT touching prickly legs. Also, there will be no friction or prickly sensations while massaging.

What should I do after my massage, wrap or scrub?

You need to KEEP RELAXING! During a massage, toxins are pushed out of your muscles and released into your bloodstream. Drink lots of water to help flush out the toxins. You may also be sore – a massage is almost like a form of passive exercise.

Is it customary to add gratuity to my services?

The industry standard for gratuity is 15%-20% but the amount you choose to leave is completely at your discretion.
